Why hire from Highrise Projections?

Highrise Projections hires outdoor and indoor LED screens for festivals, outdoor cinemas, sports events, council events, churches and exhibitions. Outdoor screens start from £500 + VAT per day. Every screen is delivered, built, operated and de-rigged by our own crew from our base in Hereford.

We've been doing this since 2016 and have delivered over 1,000 events.

LED screen hire FAQs

  • How much does it cost to hire an LED screen?
    Outdoor LED screens start from £500 + VAT per day for a small screen, £1,500 for a medium 18sqm screen and £2,500 for a large 32sqm screen. Indoor 2.6mm screens start from £1,100 + VAT. We send a fixed quote within one working day. See our LED screen hire cost guide for a full breakdown.

  • What size LED screen do I need?
    A small screen suits audiences up to 100, a medium 18sqm screen up to 600 - 1000 people, and a large 32sqm screen up to 3,000.

  • Can the screen be seen in daylight?
    Yes. Our outdoor screens run at 6,000 nits, bright enough for direct sunlight, and are IP65 rated for rain.

  • What pixel pitch are your screens?
    Outdoor screens range from 3.8mm to 4.8mm, which looks sharp from a few metres back. Indoor screens are 2.6mm Absen panels for close viewing at conferences and exhibitions.

  • What power does an LED screen need?
    A small screen runs from a standard 13A socket. Medium screens need a 63A supply and large screens 125A. No mains power on site? We supply generators from 10kVA to 100kVA.

  • How much space does the large screen need?
    Allow a clear, level area of 14m × 10m. The ground must take the delivery vans (large vans are used) plus about 3,500kg for the towing vehicle and generator.

  • Can LED screens be used in wind and rain?
    The screens are IP65 rated for rain. We don't operate above 40mph winds, with banners fitted, this would be lowered. We constantly measure the weather with a range of tools from apps to weather stations on the infrastructure.

  • How far in advance should I book?
    Summer weekends book up early — we recommend booking at the start of the year. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date; the balance is due 14 days before the event.

  • Do I need insurance?
    Yes. The hirer insures the equipment while it's on site: £60,000 for a 6×3m screen or £100,000 for an 8×4m screen, we would also recommend getting event insurance as if bad weather comes through, your losses are minimal.

  • Do you cover my area?
    We're based in Hereford, West Midlands but deliver events across the UK, including Birmingham, Worcester, Cardiff, Bristol, Oxford, Manchester and London.
