What changes the price
-
Screen size: bigger screens need more panels and longer builds — about 30 minutes for a small screen and 4–6 hours for a large one.
-
Number of days: the second day and each extra day are typically charged at 50% of the day rate.
-
Hire length: there is no minimum hire, but shorter hires are charged at the day rate.
-
Power: a small screen runs from a 13A socket. Medium and large screens need 63A or 125A. If the site has no supply, add a generator from £500 per day.
-
Travel: we are based in Hereford and charge £1 per mile, capped at £100 however far you are.
-
Extras: staging, sound, truss, banners and marquees can all be added to one quote.
-
Indoor vs outdoor: indoor screens use finer 2.6mm panels for close viewing; outdoor screens use 3.8–4.8mm panels at 6,000 nits so they stay bright in sunlight.

Hidden costs to ask any supplier about
-
VAT: most UK prices are quoted + VAT. Ours are too.
-
Insurance: hirers usually insure the screen while it is on site — £60,000 for a 6×3m screen or £100,000 for an 8×4m screen.
-
Power: check whether a generator and cabling are included.
-
Technician: check whether someone stays to run the screen, or whether it is dry hire.
-
Site access: a large screen needs a clear, level 14m × 10m area and ground that takes about 5,000kg of vans plus the towing vehicle.
-
Weather: screens cannot run in winds above 40mph (24mph with solid banners). Ask what happens if the event is called off.

LED screen hire cost FAQs
Is it cheaper to hire an LED screen or a projector?
Projectors are cheaper — our projector hire starts from £250 — but they need darkness. For daytime events or outdoor screenings before sunset, an LED screen is the only option that stays bright.
Can I hire an LED screen for just a few hours?
Yes. There is no minimum hire, but it is charged at the day rate.
How far in advance should I book?
Summer weekends start booking up from the start of the year, but we can accommodate most enquiries — get in touch even if your date is close.
Do you hire LED screens without a technician?
Yes. We offer dry hire on some screens for experienced teams. Ask us when you enquire.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. All our prices are quoted + VAT.
